Privacy.
We store your account name, email, securely hashed password, session details, and the dog profiles and photos you choose to upload. Accounts and journals are stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database; photographs are stored in Vercel Blob; the website is hosted on Vercel.
What is public
Published dog profiles, photos, captions, your display name, and any location or dates you include are publicly visible. Memorial photographs may appear in the Hall of Fame. Please avoid including your home address or private information about other people.
The community cover
You can opt in to share one selected photo per dog as a tile in the community cover. Tiles are converted to black and white and adjusted in tone to create larger memorial portraits. Visitors can find tiles by dog name or cover ID and open the dog’s public story. You can change the selected photo or opt out in the journal editor. Hidden and deleted journals are excluded; open covers refresh their collection every minute.
Your choices
You can edit or remove your public journals from My Journal. Removing a journal removes the public profile; previously uploaded image files may remain accessible at their original links until deleted from storage. Download or retain your own copies of photographs.
Cookies
We use essential session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not currently include advertising or optional analytics cookies.
Account removal
To remove your account and associated uploaded files, use the Delete Account control in My Journal. This action permanently removes your account, journals, and stored photos.
